Ipsy Glam Bag - January 2017

What is Ipsy?: Ipsy is a monthly subscription that sends 4-5 beauty/makeup products plus a different makeup bag each month. They also have a referral program where you earn points. Be sure to use your points within a year of earning them, though, because they do expire. They have expanded the points program to give you additional points by sharing your bag and following their content creators on social media accounts!

How Much is Ipsy?: Ipsy is only $10 per month shipped to the United States or $10 plus shipping ($4.95) to Canada.

Check out other Ipsy reviews here.

And just like that, a new year for Ipsy.

Honestly, not a fan of this bag. There's something about it that I just don't like. Is this just me?

Ciate Gelology Top Coat ($17.00) - I haven't tried this, I never wear polishes long enough to need a gel-like wear time so this is useless to me. I've heard that it causes shrinkage (where the top coat dries and pulls your nail polish from the free edge of your nail) and I'm not a fan of that, so I just passed completely.

Trust Fund Beauty (Method to the Madness) ($22.00) - Apparently in this limited edition Ipsy-specific packaging, it costs $4 more than without. With or without the packaging, it's a lot of money for a very small lip gloss. I was expecting miracles from this but instead was met with a mediocre at best lip gloss, akin to early NYX glosses.

Jelly Pong Pong Lip Scrub ($19.00) - After so many months of getting the Lip Love subscription, I have more products by the So Susan line than I can handle. On top of being overpriced, most don't preform for the cost they charge. Compared to some other lip scrubs I have received, this one is just subpar at best, and doesn't taste as good either. (Coffee and coconut? Seriously?!)

Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment (Desert Sunset #02) ($14.99) - These pigments can be used with the various bases Naked Cosmetics sell to make polish, lip tints, etc. I prefer using these alone as an eye shadow or for this one, on top of a darker lip color to lighten it up some. This particular shade is gorgeous and the texture is quite good.

Crown Brush Beaute Basics (C405) ($7.45)  - This is a contour brush (not to say you can't use brushes for whatever you want to use them for) and it really is good for using under your cheek bones. I like Crown Brushes, they are a good quality for the cost and the ones I own have held up.

Trust Fund Beauty, Naked Cosmetics.

This Ipsy bag was valued at $80.44, far over the cost of the actual bag. I loved most of the items so as per usual, it's a win for me. I've noticed that when I review my items, my bags get significantly better - so make sure you're reviewing every month!

As always, let me know what you thought of this bag in the comments!
