Treatsie - July 2016

What is Treatsie?: Treatsie is a monthly subscription box with sweets! It's actually a box with artisan sweets, so the kinds of things I won't normally spend the time to make but love eating. Each box has food from three different vendors so there will always be a good variety and plenty to sample from.

How Much is Treatsie?: Treatsie is $19.95/month but guarantees at least a $25 value, and you can always lower your monthly cost by subscribing for longer terms. If you click here to sign up, you will get double sweets for your first month!

Let's be real, who doesn't love getting food in the mail? Especially when it's sweets!

The boxes are bright pink, so you will know from a mile away which box you are getting.

Info cards, I love info cards!

Theme card!

Treatsie Nectar Pops (Blueberry & Acai and Raspberry lime) ($5.33) - These are made by Treatsie, and are definitely unlike something that I've tried before. They don't look at 'pretty' as they do on the website, but they taste so good. I love lollipops and these just feel more grown-up than the sugary sweet ones you find in typical stores.

Chocolate Twist Burnt Toast Caramels ($7.00) - The story behind these is that the confectioners made these after burning their toast and then crumbling it into their caramels. I'm not sure why that thought process would have occurred, but it shouldn't have. They ruined smooth caramels by adding in burnt toast and made it bad enough to make myself (and husband) not want them again.

Lark Fine Foods (Coconut Butter Cookies & Salted Caramel Almond Chocolate Pearl Cookies) ($4.67) - I really wanted to like these, but these weren't as soft as I would have preferred. I liked the coconut butter cookies, but I'm quite possibly the biggest butter cookie fan. The chocolate pearls were just a little too overwhelming for my taste, I like simple when it comes to my cookies.

Marshmallow Farms Classic Crispy Square ($4.00) - This was my favorite item of the box. I LOVE marshmallows and the homemade kind just makes me melt. I sadly had to split it with my husband, but I could eat a case of these by myself. They taste just like heaven in a square (rectangle, honestly).

The box was valued at $21, which was less than what they advertise and just over the cost of the box. Because this was my first box with Treatsie, I can't confirm or deny that this is a regular occurrence. There are more boxes coming for you guys, so we'll see together if they live up to their advertise.

As always, let me know what you thought of this box in the comments!
